Lions felled in non-conference play versus Converse
The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-5) was defeated by Converse (2-2) by a score of 4-3 Saturday afternoon on the road.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-5) was defeated by Converse (2-2) by a score of 4-3 Saturday afternoon on the road.
The Lions entered singles play down 1-0, dropping two of the three doubles matches. The duo of Faris Hadzisadikovic and Eliot Deknuydt picked up the lone Mars Hill doubles win.
In singles play, the teams split 3-3. Converse took flights one, three, and six while the Lions got wins from Deknuydt, Jose Roa, and Marcos Martinez.
Mars Hill returns to the court on Monday, February 20 when they open up South Atlantic Conference play versus Tusculum. The home contest at the Hart Tennis Complex is set for a 1 p.m. first serve.
