Mars Hill downed by No. 17 Wingate
The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-8, 0-3 SAC) was defeated 6-1 against No. 17 Wingate (6-2, 1-0 SAC) Wednesday afternoon.
WINGATE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-8, 0-3 SAC) was defeated 6-1 against No. 17 Wingate (6-2, 1-0 SAC) Wednesday afternoon.
The Lions entered singles play down 1-0 after surrendering the doubles point. Wingate went on to win five of six flights. Jose Roa won the lone Lions' singles match, taking the fifth flight in straight sets.
Mars Hill hosts UVA Wise on Sunday, March 12 inside the Hart Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
