Lions open SAC play at home versus Tusculum

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-6, 0-1 SAC) was defeated by Tusculum (4-3, 1-0 SAC) in their 2023 South Atlantic Conference opener.
The Lions entered singles play down 1-0, dropping two of the three doubles matches played on Monday afternoon. Singles play was pushed to Tuesday due to rain and inclement weather.
In singles competition, Tusculum won five of the six flights. Marcos Martinez picked up the lone Mars Hill win of the match.
Mars Hill returns to the courts on Thursday, February 23 when they face Newberry on the road. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
