Lions close out series with UNG

DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Mars Hill baseball team (0-4) was defeated 20-0 at the hands of North Georgia (3-0) Sunday afternoon.
The Nighthawks offense was led by Jace Bowen, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and three runs scored. Riley Frost and Connor Frost each added three RBI apiece.
Jordan Lathe recorded two of the Lions' five hits on the afternoon and also stole two bases. Dawson Connell, Luke Hayes, and Chris Bleeker accounted for the other Mars Hill hits on the day.
TJ Provenzano allowed four runs on four hits in 2.1 innings pitched in the loss. Matthew Heard picked up the win, striking out five and allowing just two hits in five innings thrown.
Mars Hill opens their home schedule on Tuesday, February 7 when they host Young Harris at Henderson Field. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
