Rogers Earns NCCSIA Honors
Infielder Evan Rogers has been named to the NCCSIA College Division All-State second team
HIGH POINT, N.C. - Mars Hill junior Evan Rogers has been named to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) College Division All-State team, the organization announced this afternoon.
Rogers earned a spot on the second team as an infielder. In 2015, Rogers was an All-South Atlantic Conference second team selection after he hit .359 with 55 hits, 12 doubles, a team-high four triples, one home run and 18 RBI. Rogers was also named to the SAC Gold Glove team as the shortstop with a .962 fielding percentage.
Founded in 2002, the NCCSIA is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.
