Follow the Lions in Summer Collegiate Leagues
A total of 15 returning Mars Hill baseball players are continuing their efforts on the diamond as part of seven different collegiate summer leagues.
MARS HILL, N.C.- A total of 15 returning Mars Hill baseball players are continuing their efforts on the diamond as part of seven different collegiate summer leagues. These leagues include the Northwood League, Great Lakes League, Prospect League, South Florida Collegiate League, Coastal Plain League, Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League and American Legion Baseball.
Mars Hill has five players in the Coastal Plain League. Alec Bivins and Dalton Eisenbath are members of the Gastonia Grizzlies, while Adam Daniel and Rayshelon Carolina are showcasing their talents for the Forest City Owls. Evan Rogers has returned to the Edenton Steamers where was a 2014 Coastal Plains League All-Star.
Harrison Hollis, Tyler Sides and Fausto Turro are playing in the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate league as members of the Kernersville Bulldogs, Mooresville Spinners and Carolina Pirates, respectively.
Matt Honeycutt and Josh Sereno are playing in American Legion leagues. Honeycutt is part of the South Rowan Post 3 squad, while Sereno is playing for Gaffney Post 109 Crusaders.
Lance Edwards and Christian Stampler are teammates on the Coral Springs Royals in the South Florida Collegiate League.
Kaleb McCurry is playing in the Northwood Collegiate League for the Battle Creek Bombers while Zac Brown and Patrick Riehl are each spending their summer in the Buckeye State. Brown is on the Southern Ohio Copperheads in the Great Lakes Collegiate League while Riehl is suiting up for the Chilllicothe Paints of the Prospect League.
