Plougmand, Jensen named to All-SAC teams
Mars Hill forward Peter Plougmand and midfielder Filip Jensen were named to All-South Atlantic Conference teams, as released by the league Wednesday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill forward Peter Plougmand and midfielder Filip Jensen were named to All-South Atlantic Conference teams, as released by the league Wednesday morning.
Plougmand, a sophomore from Odense, Denmark, was an All-SAC First Team selection. He led the Lions with 12 goals and 27 points, placing second in the conference in both categories. He led the SAC with 57 shot attempts. He netted six goals in the first two weeks of play, garnering back-to-back SAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Jensen, a freshman from Naestved, Denmark, led Mars Hill with five assists, adding two goals for nine points on the year, placing him on the All-SAC Second Team. He started in 16 of the 17 matches for the Lions and scored both of his goals at home, including the game-winning tally to cap off a 3-2 win versus Limestone.
