Chacon named SAC Pitcher of the Week
Mars Hill pitcher AJ Chacon was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Pitcher of the Week, as released by league Tuesday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill pitcher AJ Chacon was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Pitcher of the Week, as released by league Tuesday morning.
Chacon, a senior left-hander from Tampa, Fla., went the distance in his lone outing of the week for the Lions, leading them to a 7-0 win over SAC foe Limestone. He threw a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits and no runs over seven innings with seven strikeouts.
This is Chacon's first SAC Pitcher of the Week honors this season.
