GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's basketball team (1-20, 1-18 SAC) was defeated by Tusculum (9-14, 7-12 SAC) by a score of 84-52 Wednesday night on the road.
Three Tusculum starters finished in double-digit points with Jalia Arnwine's 18 leading all players. Mya Belton netted 16 and pulled down 11 rebounds for the double-double. Brianna Dixon added 13 points.
De'Ja Marshall led the Lions with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds while collecting five steals. Maddie Gillie added 11 points and seven rebounds followed by Porcelain Goldsborough's six.
Tusculum shot 43 percent from the floor to the Lions' 28 and hit 12 three-pointers on the night.
