Baseball Earns Southeast Region Votes
PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Mars Hill baseball team found itself receiving votes in the initial Southeast Region Poll as released on Monday, February 29. The Lions currently sit in 13th spot after collecting nine votes.

The Blue and Gold have had a hot start to the season going 13-5 overall and 2-1 in South Atlantic Conference action to begin the season. Just recently the Lions took two-of-three from the Wingate Bulldogs and will look to continue their push this weekend against conference foe Lenoir-Rhyne, who currently sits 10th in the region poll with 23 points.
Other conference members receiving votes were Newberry, sitting at third in the region with 82 points, Coker at 11 with 20 points, and Tusculum at 15, tallying five points.
The Lions will be in action this afternoon at 2 p.m. as they play host to King (Tenn.) University.
