Rogers, a senior from Kernersville, N.C., hit .700 and slugged 1.100 to lead the Lions to a pivotal series win over Lincoln Memorial last week. He nearly hit for the cycle in game one of the series on April 2 as he posted a double, a single and home run to go along with three RBI in an 11-3 win. He added two more multiple hit games to finish the series, including two runs scored and a stolen base. He scored five runs for the Lions in the three-game span and posted an on-base percentage of .769. The honor is his second Player of the Week nod this season.
The Lions will open a big weekend series at Coker on Friday, April 8. The two teams will play a single game on Friday before wrapping up the series with a twin-billing on Saturday.
