Lions downed by Trojans
The Mars Hill volleyball team (5-8, 3-4 SAC) was defeated by Anderson (9-7, 6-3 SAC) in straight sets Saturday afternoon on the road.

ANDERSON, S.C. - The Mars Hill volleyball team (5-8, 3-4 SAC) was defeated by Anderson (9-7, 6-3 SAC) in straight sets Saturday afternoon on the road.
The Trojans hit a match-high .593 in the first set, knocking down 18 kills on 27 attempts with just two errors. Their high hitting percentage carried them throughout the match, hitting .323 in the second and .472 in the third, posting a match-high 19 kills in the set.
Mars Hill hit .083 on the day with 28 kills. Jada Cannon led the team with nine followed by seven from Katilyn Grant. Grant led the team with two blocks.
Laela Jimenez led all players with 12 digs while Mackenzie Schmucker led the team with 13 assists.
The Lions welcome Limestone on Tuesday, October 15 at 6 p.m. inside Chambers Gymnasium.
