Stewart named SAC WePlayed Sports Defensive Player of the Week
This marks the third week in a row MHU Volleyball has had a player named Defensive Player of the Week.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Senior middle blocker Nikkayla Stewart was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Stewart, a native of Greeneville, Tenn., led the Lions to wins over Anderson and Coker last week. Stewart totaled 13 blocks in the two matches, with nine coming in the win over the Trojans. She averaged 1.86 blocks per set and added eight digs and 1.14 digs per set. This is the third straight week a Mars Hill player secured Defensive Player of the Week honors.
