Plougmand named to preseason All-SAC First Team, Lions land four on preseason teams
Senior forward Peter Plougmand led the Lions with 13 goals and 30 points during his junior campaign.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill senior forward Peter Plougmand was named to the 2024 Preseason All-South Atlantic Conference First Team, as released by the league Tuesday morning.
Plougmand was named to the D2CCA All-Southeast Region Second Team at the end of last season and to the All-SAC First Team for the second year in a row, leading the Lions with four assists and 13 goals for 30 points. He was named SAC Offensive Player of the Week two times during the 2023 season and tied a school-record with his four-goal performance versus Emory & Henry.
The forward was also named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Southeast Region Third Team and to the Scholar All-South Region team.
Diego Fernandez, Nolan McMillen, and Ben Harvey were tabbed to the Third Team. The Lions were selected 10th in the preseason coaches poll.
