
McMillen, Plougmand named CSC Academic All-Americans
Both men's soccer standouts were First Team selections.
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Mars Hill men's soccer players Nolan McMillen and Peter Plougmand were named as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America First Team selections, as announced Tuesday afternoon.
McMillen, a graduate student from Dobson, North Carolina, holds a 4.0 GPA in the Masters of Management graduate program. He finished his undergraduate degree in the spring of 2024 with a 3.98 GPA in Business Administration. McMillen has been named to the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll and Mars Hill University Dean's List every semester of his career.
Head men's soccer coach Gregg Munn remarked, "(Nolan) Embodies what a high achieving student-athlete should be. An incredible young man who fully deserves this award for his efforts both on the field and in the classroom."
Plougmand, a senior from Odense, Denmark, posts a 3.74 GPA in Business Administration. He, as with McMillen, has been named to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll every year of his career and the Mars Hill University Dean's List.
Coach Munn added, "We are extremely proud of these achievements for Peter and Nolan, and everyone involved with the program. Well done."
Director of Athletics Rick Baker stated, "Peter and Nolan have had great careers at Mars Hill, both on and off the field. These honors are well deserved. We are very proud of all of their accomplishments."
