Lions drop game two versus North Georgia

DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Mars Hill baseball team (0-2) fell to North Georgia (2-0) by a score of 12-4 Saturday afternoon.
The Nighthawks used a seven-run seventh inning to propel them to their second win of the weekend series.
Down 4-0 entering the fifth, the Lions began to cut into the North Georiga lead as Tai Gilbert drove home Elec Yount with a single through the right side of the infield. Later in the frame, Trey Putnam's RBI single scored Zach Weaver.
In the top of the sixth, Donald Gorgei scored off of a RBI groundout from Alex Naran.
Gilbert notched his second RBI of the contest in the top of the ninth with a solo home run over the right field wall.
The trio of Young, Naran, and Gilbert led the Lions with two hits apiece.
Mars Hill closes out the series on Sunday, February 4 with a first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
